This classic southern recipe is great for summertime.
Ingredients
bread of your choice
a firm and cold slicer tomato
red onion
mayo or dressing of your choice
salt
pepper
Directions
Add mayo to both slices of bread
Add sliced onion on one half
Add cold tomato on other half
Add salt and pepper
Assemble and slice diagonal or in quarters
Marley’s Notes
• Using a firm and cold tomato is important
• Toasting the bread is optional but I prefer my bread soft and cool
• Make sure to dress both slices of bread with mayo
• Sometimes I use truffle spicy mayo by @sauce. It’s DELICIOUS. You can find it here
• This is a great snack for tea parties as well
