The measurements for this recipe are very flexible.
Ingredients
2 cups of plant milk of your choice, view my oat milk recipe here
1.5 - 2 tbsp of matcha
4 tbs of dried rose petals
3 cups of water
honey or sweetner
crushed ice
Directions
Bring water to a boil and let cool
Add matcha to a cup and pour in cooled boiled water
The water can still be hot but not piping hot so the matcha doesn't burn
Mix until matcha is completely dissolved, wisking with a matcha wisk is best
Make rose water by bringing a cup of water to boil in a sauce pan, add 3 tbsp rose petals and let boil until the color fades and the water is half reduced
Strain and add honey/sweetener while hot
Let cool
Crush and sift 1 tbs of rose petals to make rose powder
Fill a tall glass with crushed ice and fill half way with milk
Add a pinch of raw matcha powder and half the rose powder
Add matcha slowly to milk (for gradient effect)
Add a bit more milk and top with rose water (for gradient effect)
For aesthetic, top with a pinch of matcha, rose powder, and a few petals!
enjoy!
