DIY Oat Milk



SHOPPING LIST

  • 1 cup of organic oatmeal

  • 2 cups cold water

  • 4 ice cubes

  • 1 tsp of cinnamon optional

  • Sweetener optional, raw cane sugar, dates, agave


Directions

  • Blend ingredients for 10 seconds

  • Strain with Nylon Nut Bag, cheese cloth, or clean cotton t-shirt

  • Pour and serve!

  • Refrigerate for up to 5 days

  • Separation is okay, shake before serving!


 

MARLEY'S NOTES

  • Oatmeal has a ton of pesticides so always always always buy them organic

  • Quick oats or old fashioned oats are best

  • DO NOT use steel cut oats or instant oats

  • DO NOT soak oats (soaked oats = slime)

  • Using ice water prevents slime

  • Blending for short amount of time prevents slime
